At their meeting on February 11, 2025, Council:

  • Received an overview of 2024 Village of Lytton communications and engagement activities and metrics (Download the presentation);

  • Received a summary of feedback received from Community Hub project open house and survey (Download the presentation);

  • Approved an increase in the maximum archaeology grant amount from $5,000 to $20,000 to be covered for rebuilding property owners;

  • Received a 2025 budget direction report and directed staff to prepared the Five-Year Financial Plan and budget with a 6 per cent increase in property tax revenue;

  • Received the Development Services activity report, which summarizes building permit and development applications and inquiries up to January 31, 2025;

  • Received the Lytton Fire & Rescue 2024 Annual Summary and directed the Chief Financial Officer to work with the fire captains to replace necessary equipment using the insurance proceeds;

  • Postponed giving first reading to OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 746, 2024 until the February 25, 2025 meeting;

  • Received correspondence about an Indigenous Youth Mountain bike Program -Lytton Partnership Proposal and referred it to staff to look into it.
