Lytton Fire & Rescue Service operates three fire apparatus:

  • Engine 1
  • Engine 2
  • Rescue 1

Each serves a specific function and allows the team to be adequately prepared for any emergency that may arise within their scope of work.

Engine 1

This is the frontline pumper. It holds 4,500 litres of water and 135 litres of Class A firefighting foam, and has a pump that can move almost 5,000 litres of water per minute.

  • Support Engine 1 on vehicle and structure fires within the response area
  • Assist the Rescue 1 truck on large-scale motor vehicle incidents
  • Ensure that an engine is in place in the community when Engine 1 is out for pump certification, commercial vehicle inspections, or repairs
