The Archaeology Branch provided a recent information package for residents with archaeological guidance for the Village of Lytton's recovery and rebuild. This information is necessary for planning before development to:
- ensure property owners understand measures they can take to avoid or minimize impacts to archaeological sites,
- ensure compliance with the Heritage Conservation Act (HCA), and
- reduce archaeological costs associated with rebuilding.
