Updated Evacuation Orders
The boundary of the Evacuation Orders for the Village of Lytton have been expanded.
The Evacuation Orders are continuing for Ponderosa and Loring Way, but now include all properties from the south end of Kumsheen ShchEma-meet School field to the south end of the Aspen Planers Sawmill Site just south of Lytton on Highway 1 (769 S- Trans Canada Highway). The Evacuation Orders do not include Kumsheen ShchEma-meet School/grounds.

Emergency Support Services for evacuees
If you are an evacuee, who does not have accommodations available or need in-person supports, you can go to the Kamloops ESS Reception Centre located at McArthur Island Park, 1655 Island Parkway, Kamloops.
The ESS Reception Centre is open until 6 p.m. today (Saturday, June 20, 2026).
If you have friends or family you can stay with, please travel directly to those locations and complete Emergency Support Services (ESS) registration online.
Virtual ESS Supports
ESS registration and supports are available virtually through the BC Evacuation Help Line / Emergency Support Services Information line:

- Available 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. throughout the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Supports can be provided remotely, including registration assistance and ESS services delivered through e-transfer where eligible.

Boil water notice issued
Due to the wildfire, the Village of Lytton has issued a Boil Water Notice for the Village of Lytton, IR 17, IR 18 from June 19, 2026, until further notice. s a precautionary measure, water users are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, food preparation, etc.

Evacuation Alert issued for residents in the Village of Lytton
There is an uncontrolled wildfire south of the Village of Lytton.
An EVACUATION ALERT has been issued for residents in the Village of Lytton.
There is no need evacuate at this time, but be prepared to do so on short notice if an evacuation order is issued.
If an evacuation order is issued, evacuees can report to the Lytton First Nation Battlefield Community Hall for shelter.
We will share additional information as it becomes available.
