If you are looking for information about the Brunswick Creek wildfire near Boston Bar (approximately 50 km south of the Village of Lytton), see the post below from BC Wildfire Service.
 
There is no smoke visible looking south from the Village of Lytton and there is no threat to the Village currently. We will let you know if we receive any updates about potential impacts to Highway 1.
 

BC Wildfire Service update

7:47 p.m.
 Our crews continue to assist the Boston Bar Fire Department in response to the Brunswick Creek wildfire (V10742) in the vicinity of Chaumox Road, north of North Bend. The fire is currently estimated at 100 hectares in size. It is suspected to be human caused.
 
The fire is burning at rank 3-4 (highly vigorous surface fire with torching or passive crown fire). Multiple aviation resources, initial attack and unit crews, as well as heavy equipment are responding. Crews and aviation resources are also responding to spot fires in the area, located north of the Brunswick Creek wildfire.
 
Smoke from the Brunswick Creek wildfire is highly visible along Highway 1, as well as in Kamloops and Merritt. No impacts to Highway 1 or the railway are expected.
 
This wildfire is classified as Out of Control and growth has been primarily upslope, away from infrastructure and community. The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued alerts and orders for the North Bend community and adjacent properties on the west side of the Fraser River.
