Village Update
At the Committee of the Whole Meeting on July 7, 2026, there were two presentations:
- Village staff and Thompson–Nicola Regional District emergency management staff presented an overview of the Saw Creek wildfire incident and response. An After Action Review (debriefing session) with other agencies, including BC Wildfire Service, will be scheduled in the fall.
- Staff shared a presentation about engagement for the Fire and Emergency Services Centre. Council directed staff to bring forward a Fire Hall engagement plan for their consideration at a Regular Council Meeting.
