Highway 1 closed south of Boston Bar due to new wildfire

Wildfire activity has increased in the Fraser Canyon and Manning Park, resulting in highway closures and travel disruptions.
 
Highway 1 is closed south of Boston Bar due to a new wildfire (V11090) near the Brunswick Complex. Highway 3 is closed in Manning Park due to increased activity on the Norwegian Creek Wildfire (V10942).
 
Smoke is expected throughout these areas and may reduce visibility along nearby highways.
If you're travelling:
 
  • Check DriveBC before you leave and avoid non-essential travel through affected corridors
  • Never stop along highways to watch wildfire activity
  • Follow directions from emergency personnel and give firefighting crews space to work
  • If you're under an Evacuation Order, leave immediately
