At the September 8, 2026 Regular Council Meeting, staff presented Part 1 (Introduction) and Part 2 (Vision, Mission, and Principles) of the updated Official Community Plan (OCP). As shared in the last newsletter, later sections of the draft document will be introduced at upcoming Council meetings.
Next steps
Staff will refer the draft sections to leaders and staff of Lytton First Nation, Skuppah Indian Band, Nicomen Indian Band, Kanaka Bar Indian Band, Siska Indian Band, Cooks Ferry Indian Band and the Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council, and the Thompson–Nicola Regional District, and local interest groups for their review and comment.
Coming soon: Community open houses to review draft materials
The Village is inviting community members to attend upcoming interactive open houses to review the draft materials and share their input. The review of the draft documents will also be available on the Village’s website together with a prompting questionnaire.
We will share updates on the Village's website and Facebook page when the draft documents are posted and open houses are scheduled.
