Village launches Volunteer Opportunities web page

Village Update

In recognition of National Volunteer Week (April 19 to 25, 2026) and International Volunteer Year, the Village is launching a new Volunteer opportunities page on our website.

Volunteers are at the heart of the community, supporting:

  • essential fire and rescue services,
  • parks planting,
  • local sports teams, and
  • annual gatherings and events like the Lytton Cemetery Clean-up, May Day long weekend celebrations, Christmas parade, Lytton River Festival, and more.

The Village is thankful for the contributions of volunteers within Lytton and outside of Lytton.

Volunteers continue to play key roles in rebuilding Lytton. For example, volunteers with the Mennonite Disaster Service helped to rebuild two Lytton homes, members from Fraser Lands Church have been involved in the community since the 2021 fire, and St. Agnes Scouting Group Scouts have helped with FireSmart activities in the community for several years.
