At the Regular Council Meeting on September 22, 2026, Council:

Received the September 2026 capital projects update;

Approved the Fire and Emergency Services Centre engagement plan;

Approved finalizing and signing a contract with pre-qualified consultant Rivermist Excavating Ltd. for the Loring Way water improvement project, funded through the Union of BC Municipalities Strategic Priorities Fund grant; this project is the first of three phases of priority water main replacements planned following the comprehensive water system infrastructure evaluation report presented to Council in August 2025;

Gave second reading and directed staff to schedule and provide notification about public hearings for two bylaws to accommodate the proposed Chief Spintlum Elders Lodge: Official Community Plan Amendment (Health Care Campus) Bylaw 785, 2026, and Zoning Amendment (Health Care Campus) Bylaw 786, 2026; and

Adopted Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw No. 787, 2026 to update water and sewer utility rates as outlined during the September 8, 2026, Council meeting.
