At their meeting on January 14, 2025, Council:

  • Approved staff to solicit bids from three architect firms to design and prepare construction drawings to rebuild the Village Office; the fire-resilient and Net Zero building will be located at 380 Main Street (a lot that the Village is purchasing from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District) and will include staff offices, a Council Chamber, Visitor’s Centre, and revenue-generating retail spaces. 
  • Authorized the Chief Financial Officer to engage BDO Canada LLP to perform the 2024 annual audit of the Village of Lytton Financial Statements;
  • Received the Development Services Activity Report summarizing development related activities for 2024, including data on building and development permits opened, issued/approved, or closed; inspections completed, and building and development inquiries
  • Received an OCP Permit Areas Project Review update; staff shared several updates to Council about permit areas in 2024 (Read information on our website)
  • Proclaimed March 26, 2025, International Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness in the Village of Lytton and directed staff to develop a policy about proclamation requests.
