The BC provincial government has provided an update on the Chilcotin River landslide.

Based on current modelling and the assistance of external experts, government staff are expecting water to start moving over top of the blockage late on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, or early on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, and enter the riverbed below the slide site.

Staff continue to monitor the Chilcotin River landslide 24/7, conduct aerial survey flights and gather additional technical data.
