Village Update
At their Regular Council Meeting on November 25, 2025, Council approved extending three Village rebuilding grant programs from December 31, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
The Village rebuilding grant programs:
- Reduce building permit fees by 50 per cent
- Reimburse up to $20,000 of eligible archaeology costs
- Reimburse up to $100 for replanting a tree or trees
To be eligible you need to be rebuilding on property that you owned at the time of the June 30, 2021, fire.
To date, building permit fee reductions of $69,751, archaeology costs of $128,137, and tree reimbursements of $589.56 have been provided to rebuilding property owners.
