Council Briefs
Village Update
At the Regular Council Meeting on March 10, 2026, Council:
- Approved the Village of Lytton staffing transition plan outlining how the Village will move from the current recovery staff structure to a more typical municipal staff structure. (See the current operational organizational chart);
- Approved the selection of ANR Construction Ltd. to construct the Village Office and authorized funding from the Insurance Proceeds Reserve (See the Village Office floor plans and architectural rendering);
- Received an update from staff on Development Services activities, including building and planning inquiries and permits and the Village’s planning and development initiatives (Read the February 2026 Development Services activities report);
- Approved TRUE Consulting Ltd. for design compliance inspections, engineering support, and completion of record drawings for the West of Main Street sewer upgrades, and authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to sign a contract;
- Received correspondence from the Lytton May Day Committee about supporting the May Day long weekend celebration planning and authorized a donation of $500 from the Village; and
- Received correspondence from Judith and Ross Urquhart requesting financial estimates on new municipal building projects and directed staff to send a response that once requested information is received the Village will share it and schedule a community meeting.
